Dynameco 200-E02
Benefits
The aerosol fire suppression agent technology developed by Dynamit Nobel is one of the leading fire protection solutions worldwide. The hi-tech equipment of modern industrial buildings, machines, facilities and installations requires compact, fast and reliable fire protection systems. People and assets must be protected effectively, downtimes must be prevented. The first seconds between the breaking out of the fire and fire fighting are decisive for the successful suppression of fires.
Development
Dynamit Nobel's decades of experience and development have contributed to our Dynameco fire extinguishers having become a part of the complex fire protection industry worldwide. Manufactured i.a.w. the regulations and standards of DIN EN ISO 9001/2000, ISO 14001, VDE, IQNet, TÜV and BAM, our Dynameco fire extinguishers meet the highest requirements in fire protection. The Dynameco fire suppression agent technology is protected worldwide by patents.
Fields of Application
The Dynameco fire extinguishers group of products is designed for the suppression of fires in objects and in rooms for a wide range of fields of application. Major fields of application are electrotechnical facilities and equipment, kitchens, machines, ships and vehicles.
The high effectivity of the fire suppression agent - a minimum of fire suppression agent generates a high fire suppression power - lets fires be extinguished within a few seconds. The Dynameco fire extinguishers are especially suitable for fighting fires in the phase leading up to the fire.
Environmentally Safe
The Dynameco fire suppression agent technology is a "green" suppression agent technology, which means it is environmentally sound and environmentally safe. (Ozone Depletion Potential = 0, Global Warming Potential =0, negligible residual amounts in the atmosphere). The Dynameco fire suppression agent technology is listed as official "HALON substitute" by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The fire suppression agent does not have any detrimental effect on life on our planet; it has the status "non-toxic".
Applications
With over 60,000 different Dynameco installations in different fields and countries, eg Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Greece, Scandinavia, India, Iran, Malaysia, Venezuela, Brazil and Canada, the Dynameco fire suppression agent technology is leading worldwide. Among Dynameco customers are, for example, ABB, BP, Demag, Iberia, Mercedes Benz, Nokia, Nissan, Toyota, Vestas, Steigenberger Hotels, Maritim Hotels, Magneti Marelli, etc.
Economy
The large German insurance companies grant discount insurance rates because the insurance companies have rated Dynameco fire extinguishers as particularly effective, economic and special fire prevention media.
Dynameco fire extinguishing generators, the innovative and environment-friendly suppression technology.
The Dynameco aerosol fire extinguishing technology is based on a pyrotechnical extinguishing charge. In case of a fire, this extinguishing charge is ignited electrically, thermally or manually.
The pyrotechnical extinguishing charge consisting of potassium nitrate and nitroguanidine is caused to react. The chemical reaction generates potassium carbonate, which flows through a cooling area along with the simultaneously generated reactive gases and then out of the openings at the bottom of the extinguisher, emerging into the environment as a fine aerosol.
The average particle size of the aerosol is between 0.5 and 2.5 μm. The extinguishing effect of the aerosol or the potassium carbonate results from the combination of a physical and a chemical process.
The ionisation in the flame withdraws energy from the combustion process. Free radicals in the flame are bound by the potassium carbonate, thus stopping the chain reaction. The extinguishing principle, therefore, is not based on the removal of the oxygen important for combustion or on cooling, as is the case with other fire extinguishers, but on the principle of interruption of the oxidation process at the molecular level.

Application of the Dynameco Aerosol fire extinguishing generators
All Dynameco Fire Extinguishing Generators can be used according to their purpose for room-flooding and/or object-based extinction within the fields of electromechanical systems & devices, power generation, transport, machinery, data processing, communication and kitchens.
If used for room-flooding, the entire room's volume will be flooded with the extinguishing agent. The fire will be extinguished by a constant distribution of the extinguishing agent (aerosol), regardless of the fire location within the room.
The object extinguishing method directs the aerosol stream to the fire source and extinguishes the fire. Some typical applications are flammable liquids (e.g. petrol, oil) on machines, systems, and devices.
Moreover, a combination of room-flooding and object-based extinction can be provided, depending on each application (e.g. wind power plants).
The exact conception of the fire extinguishing system is based on the knowledge of the site and the risk sources. The interpretation of the extinguishing agent is performed with room-flooding by room volume and with object-based extinction by specification of the object to be protected and the prevailing environmental conditions.
